Radiator Repair Services

Keep your engine cool and your vehicle running smoothly with radiator repair and fluid exchange services at Firestone Complete Auto Care.

RADIATOR SERVICE OVERVIEW

  • Summary: Helps prevent overheating; includes coolant fluid exchange, pressure test, and optimal cooling restoration. Some call this a “radiator flush,” but our technicians perform a coolant exchange following your OEM procedure—usually a drain & fill or controlled exchange, not a generic flush. This ensures safe, thorough cooling system service that matches factory specifications.
  • Service Time: We’ll confirm the work after inspection; leaks or worn parts may require repair and your approval.
  • Service Interval: Typically, every 100,000 miles or 3–5 years, refer to your vehicle’s manufacturer recommendation specified in your owner’s manual. Make sure to check your owner's manual.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

  • Complete coolant fluid exchange, or “flush”. We follow your OEM procedure—often a drain & fill or controlled exchange, not a generic flush.
  • System pressure test and radiator cap inspection.
  • Hose and clamp visual inspection; thermostat, water pump, and heater core operation.
  • Comprehensive leak detection and topping off coolant.
  • Disposal of old coolant per environmental regulations

Radiator Warning Signs

  • High temperature gauge, sweet coolant smell, visible leaks (green, orange, blue, pink fluid).
  • Low coolant reservoir, poor heater performance, engine overheating, or steam from under hood.

Safety Note: Overheating can cause severe, irreparable engine damage. If your temperature gauge spikes or steam appears, immediately pull over safely and schedule service.
